The hotel features multiple function spaces including the original Public Bar, Ladies Lounge, Dining Hall and Conservatory with banquet style seating for 40 or a cocktail style buffet wedding for up to 80. Traditional gardens surround the hotel with several garden rooms with ample seating and spaces to host your ceremony.
In 1853, gold was discovered at Maldon and within a few years there were 20,000 miners and 70 pubs in town. One of these was ‘The Eaglehawk Hotel‘. A fire destroyed the timber hotel in the late 1800’s and a new hotel was rebuilt in Edwardian splendour in 1906. Today, this historic hotel can be yours. Maldon is 70 minutes from Melbourne cbd, 25 minutes from Bendigo and 15 minutes from Castlemaine. Maldon is Australia’s first Notable Town.
Our rental fee includes accommodation for 16 and use of all event spaces and equipment but does not lock you into expensive in-house catering and bar. You are free to self cater, bring in your own chef or buy in from our catering connections in the town. Additional accommodation is available at the motel next door as well as several cottages and B&B’s throughout town.
