Lithgow, the hub of a region known as the Seven Valleys and it sits on the western edge of the sandstone country of the Blue Mountains and is usually considered the first true country town west of Sydney.
Lose yourself in the the Blue Mountains National Park, many of the scenic landscape and towns that surrounds, wander the World Heritage-listed Wollemi National Park or the pagoda rock formations of Gardens of Stone National Park. The nearby Capertee Valley is a spectacular canyon nearby, and is noted to be the second widest of any canyon in the world, exceeding The Grand Canyon.
