Frida's Field
Frida’s Field is an idyllic, completely private eco-farm with stunning views of lush pastures and rolling green hills. Only 25 minutes from Byron Bay and 10 minutes from the village of Bangalow, it is an unforgettably picturesque drive through the hinterland to get here. For every wedding at Frida’s Field, we plant a tree on our farm which you can visit over the years.
Our 120-acre property provides a variety of spaces to create a memorable journey over the course of your wedding day. There are several stunning ceremony locations – including majestic wedding trees and expansive views over fields which capture the golden hour perfectly.
There is a spacious lawn terrace for cocktail hour where you can watch the sun set over the surrounding orchards. Photo opportunities abound, with long country roads, natural archways formed by trees, textural sheds, towering trees with twisting limbs, and fields that seem to go on forever.
A gorgeous little cottage which featured on the cover of Country Style Magazine is available as the perfect place to get ready and unwind after your big day.
For your reception, our purpose-built timber barn was architecturally-designed to maximise the views of the pastoral surroundings. The barn is a grand & elegant space with neutral colours and natural textures that provide the perfect backdrop for any floral & styling themes you choose. It has a high vaulted ceiling with exposed wooden trusses (perfect for dramatic hanging installations), a recycled-brick fireplace and a large covered verandah which can be used as a wet weather ceremony back-up.
Frida’s Field is an all-inclusive venue offering in-house food and drink packages, plus tables, chairs, cutlery, crockery and glassware for up to 120 people. Our multi-award winning Chef Alastair Waddell (2023 SMH Good Food Guide’s one hat award) has curated a range of wedding menus to showcase our contemporary country cuisine with beautiful produce from our own farm and local region. Options include shared feasting, canapés, grazing tables and cocktail receptions. We are a fully licensed with drinks packages, bar-tab and on-consumption options.
