Carramar was the first home built in Wentworth Falls in 1882, the same year the Carrington Hotel in Katoomba was built.
It is heritage-listed with many original features intact, including a private forest of ancient trees on 2 acres of grounds, 140 year old marble fireplaces, and original Welsh Slate roof.
The Estate is sited on the premium location in the region, with stunning mountain views from the house, and direct walking access to Wentworth Falls, Empress Canyon, and magical lookouts.
At Carramar, you will feel like you are on true country retreat, but are only 8 mins to Katoomba and 6 mins to Leura Mall.

Carramar Estate in the Blue Mountains is the perfect location to come together and celebrate a joyous occasion. Sited on a premium location right near to the Conservation Hut in the Blue mountains, Carramar is a landmark estate a short stroll from some of the best lookouts and waterfalls in the area, without even having to get in your car.

For the first time in 140 years, the whole estate is now available for private booking. You can have dinner under the stars, gather around the fire, or meet on one of the many decks and outdoor areas
With Great-Gastby style original historic home, 12 foot high ceiling, chandeliers, 3 living rooms to choose between, and a short stroll to some of the most stunning lookouts and waterfalls in the Upper Blue Mountains, you could have an entire private estate to yourselves.

Carramar can sleep 12 comfortably and up to 14 on request. You can have up to 16 sit-down guests for a fabulous formal lunch or dinner, and watch the glorious sunsets together.

For micro-weddings and elopements, Carramar is magical place to use as a base. Prepare for your wedding with separate houses for the Bride and Groom before the wedding, a romantic cottage for your first night together as husband and wife, and the whole family can be housed for a few nights in the spacious and elegant main house.

For larger groups, you could use Carramar as a base for those closest to you. Walk to fabulous and undiscovered lookouts nearby for your ceremony, and choose from one of many restaurants nearby for larger gatherings.

The rental is subject to standard NSW short-term rental rules. We can accomodate your guests for a luxurious stay and intimate gatherings and sit-down meals for up to 16 people. We do not allow parties, amplified music, or big formal weddings
